I would say that in this case no one really died. I base this on the fact that the person who presented the on-the-scene video wasn't at all concerned about the well-being of the two friends he claimed were inside the store while the shooter was in there. Also, the guy he caught on camera standing in the doorway with his back to it while the event was unfolding inside seemed entirely unconcerned as well.
