These people live eat and breathe the president’s schedule, they get advanced warning usually a week or more when and where the president is going to be 24 hours a day so they can stick cameras in his face. Every president. So the people who cover the president for a living, who are just waiting for a huge story to make their own careers and to make millions of dollars for themselves, dozens to hundreds of them, are not going to mention to anyone that this interaction has been altered. Or that it was never even on his schedule in the first place, that it was made up whole cloth because it’s fake. Now, you’re looking at cameramen, editors, schedulers, producers, runners, you’re now into about 1000 people - lowballing it - that would have to be in on this. And at least 100 reporters, or 20 if it’s a small pool, but they and their camera men would have seen and RECORDED the original. The producers have seen it, the editors have seen it, it isn’t just the people on the scene. You’re looking at somewhere between 500 and 1000 people who absolutely know 100% for a fact that this is fake and have proof and are keeping their mouths shut about it. And to accomplish what? What did the White House accomplish with this? What did they get out of it? What was the motivation? Instead of just doing what they do every day which is he mumbles something as he passes them, they could just keep doing that but decided to fake this? FOR WHAT?
