I am of unsullied Brit-ish stock to which my ancestors arrived in America in 1636. We can trace our lineage further back to the midlands of Britain. My ancestors fought in the revolutionary war and earlier in the Prince Philip's War. There is no single family in America that lost more family members in the revolutionary war than mine (that I am aware of). We know of 22 family members that were killed fighting for our freedom. Very few history books mention even our namesake let alone the sacrifice we gave to the formation of these united States. You'd have to dig deep in a local library to which they once lived to find these exploits. There are stories there of their 'legendary' feats and others of their brutal murder. It's never taught in history class. A Boston tea party raid led to the brutal murder of my ancestor and his brother-in-law. My family has fought and lost members in every war that America has ever fought up to the present time. We are unknown soldiers and our numbers are now in the tens of thousands. Many of us know our family history, but we are unknown to the greater population. We want it to be that way.
