When you are going to attack, you often practice the attack in a different area. This is common among militaries throughout history.

'Member Hitler training his new panzer corps in fake tanks, but with real blitzkrieg tactics?

The problem with military drills, is they drill and drill and drill, and then suddenly go live.

The invasion of Panama was just such an action.

The enemy gets used to your assets being on the move, and begins to let their own guard down.

This is also why, when a major power goes on maneuvers, other major power tend to do the same.

Large scale military maneuvers are threatening acts of state. You are upgrading the readiness of your forces.

They also cost a lot of money and consume a lot of resources.

No, I don't remember, nor do you.

All claims about Hitler should be sourced.

Also. Being in military aviation myself as a avionics tech. I can say that there are air to air training in fl and air to ground d training in Nv. Squadrons are often operating in these areas anyways. I’m sure air force has their own air operations as well. But to try to draw conclusions other than. Normal Operating procedure is pure speculation to me.

Yeah, that happened.

They didn't have the tanks yet, but they did do the training.

It is well documented.

You are welcome to research that on your own.
