Yea, I have heard him on radio interviews with John B Wells and he comes off as conservative and aware of the corruption in the US but when asked about why he was living in south america at the time he came off like he was an ex-pat, sick of how America was being run by Obama.

Now we see he was on the run from extradition this whole time.
