Imagine our surprise.
Hate to break it to you, but this is very, very OLD NEWS.
Like so many gov't agencies......the lowly paid gov't "watch dogs" get paid much better by the people they are watching.
SEC, FAA, FDA, CDC, .....et al......its all the same. The ONLY reason people take these low paying gov't jobs is because they EXPECT BIG PAY-OFFS, when they are able to leave their gov't watch dog job, and start working for the BIG BUCK companies they were supposed to be "watching".
This is why lowly paid gov't jobs are a revolving door, between the companies the agencies are "supposed to" monitor, and the "watchdog agencies".
The only way to stop this corruption is to AUDIT the finances of the gov't agent (and all of their extended family members), make it illegal for them to step over the line and be hired by the corporations they were "supposed" to be watching.....and probably pay the watchdogs a little better.
Without that, all you ever have are "sleeping lapdogs".
