You need only to look at this Country pre Korea to see how it shakes out. We won every major and minor engagement because we played to WIN. Does anyone think Washington worried about the optics of Slaughtering the British in their sleep on Christmas? How bout Patton or MacArthur. Think THEY worried about what the enemedia said or about the legality of how they fought? NO. They fought to win and they did win. But since WW2 we have half assed it and failed to achieve victory over and over because of "optics". We get told it's a WAR. Battle of good vs evil for all the marbles. Yet despite people insisting Trump is neither a politician or a Republican he fights just like one. One hand tied behind his back, a ball and chain on one leg and a blindfold because of muh optics. Anyone "fighting " that way is not in it to win it.
