Do we have any proof or verifiable evidence one way or the other? One side side is making unsubstantiated claims that it is fog and the other is making unsubstantiated claims that it is smoke.
Agree with this. Was anyone there in person who smelled the smoke?

It’s a Qultist spamming on a Q-LARP board. That’s hard physical proof that every word it said is the opposite of reality.
The real indicator is the lack of chatter from the several million DC residents... if there was that much smoke we would have seen SOMETHING from someone on the ground who is not either MSM or Qannon
I was a firefighter for ten years, and my brigade's area was rural forests and lakes so always pretty foggy. From the pictures, I would say this is smoke. You can really see it in the bottom two pictures (obviously, because the first two are meh). The way it's rising in a column, and the color are the giveaways for me.
