I don't think they're worried about warming, they just want us to be. That way, we might be more inclined to go along with Billzebub's plan to dim the sun. Seems to me, they actually want to make sure we have another doozy of an ice age!

They are really just concerned with a global entity having power over nations. Eg. Rainforests are burning, the ozone is disappearing, global cooling, global warming etc...
