I don't have the link, but I remember in 2005, NBC ran a video story about the threat of global warming. They predicted that a certain date in the future, the arctic circle would be green grass, Manhattan would be under wate and the average temperature in North America would be 100 degrees. That date in the future? 2013 (8 years at the time). Oh and by the way, some fools got stuck in the ice trying to go see the green grass in the arctic circle. An ice breaker was sent to rescue them, which also got stuck. A larger ice breaker had to rescue both vessels. Ahhh the stupidity...
I remember all that talk in the 2000's. Unfortunately 1998 was the warmest year and there was cooling for the next 15 or so years. So in 2005 they were selling that BS amongst a cooling planet.
