PRESS EVENTS Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III The secretary briefs the media at 1 p.m. EST in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2D972). Due to COVID social distancing concerns, there will be 20 chairs for reporters in the room - 16 on the normal floor area, under the ceiling microphone coverage, and four against the exterior walls, which will not be under ceiling microphone coverage. The seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the Briefing Room will open one hour prior for seat reservations. Only one seat per news organization is authorized. The briefing will be livestreamed on Defense.gov and broadcast on Channel 2 in the Pentagon.

AGREED! We certainly don't need to return to Afghanistan. President Trump was pulling us out and the DS wants us back there, what the hell for? There is no reason for us to be there anymore.
