Elections are run by the party, at every level. Until that ends there is no hope. We also need to force proportional representation at the local level; and area that is 51% democrat is ran 100% by democrats. Sometimes that works out for us, but it doesn't make it right or fair.

What happens now is that they are typically 100% one "party", and so to break into this you have to get your group to 51% of the votes. If it were proportional you would only need 1/9=11% of the vote to gain a seat. In almost every area it would be pretty easy to get the "anti-politician party" votes to 11% with just a platform of populism.
