It is. But the risk outweighed the benefits. We're doing fine, I'm healthy and will retire at 62 in 8 years.

I did great. I was reserves with a civil service civilian job. Had to stay active reserve to retire civilian at 57. I'd still be in deploying now at 54. It was a good decision.
