Rush Limbaugh dies at the age of 70 today from a battle with lung cancer. I have been listening to Rush for 31 years. I have lost a brother today, a voice of reason in a sea of insanity is gone forever. Rush did more than just cement phrases like the endless parade of human debris and feminazis into the zeitgeist but he actually became the loudest voice of conservative thought and values. He educated 2 generations of listeners into defining what conservatism stands for. Without Rush the Republican party of the 90's would never have united under the core principles of conservatism, without Rush there would have been no Tea Party, without the Tea Party, Trump would have never been President. Rush held the most syndicated Radio talk show in human history and was the most listened to voice on the radio world-wide for decades. Other radio personalities who have been in radio for 30 years will tell you that Rush singlehandedly saved AM radio and defined talk radio formats showing that political talk formats can make radio stations money. There is a void in the world today and we have lost a national treasure, I will miss you Rush, I hope to see you in heaven.
