Well, I understand completely what you are saying and there are certain posters I totally ignore. BUT, there are a few that post good, valid info that benefits many of us that don't have the time to peruse all the top news of the day. By trying to correct one problem you would be diminishing the good posts that benefit most of us. I think you can just block those that you consistently think are posting junk. I think this would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.
some people receive updates from government agencies. we have no control of when and how many updates they drop
if a person receives ten in one day and can only forward 3 of them. how much is lost and missed?
Ahhhh ... last I knew this was a free speech site?! You immediately want to limit speech?
I'd rather have more posts available than I care to read so I can pick the best, skip the rest.
Hey i'm all for free speech and less rules... the point of my post was to get people to think about what they post... or how often they do. i stopped going to drudge because it was one bias view setting a narrative. if all this becomes is 3 people on the regular, then there is no diversity in thought...
I agree wrt Drudge. I've never posted one of their articles ... used to read them multiple times daily as recently as 12 years ago.
Lakotapride, rickki6, inevergiveup, myself and many others want a busy board with the latest breaking news and insights. We put a lot of work into posting here to share the best tidbits we discover in our news junkie travels everyday. If it hasn't been posted before, there is a sense of pride in being the first to bring a quality article to the table here (or to /s/QPatriots) for our anon frens to devour, discuss, debate or debunk.
When the boards get slow, on slow news days, I will bend my own rules a bit and will post some interesting articles of less significance in order to keep the board alive and anons fed. I really hate slow news days ... they are the hardest because I have to go deep, really scour the bowels of the interweb for articles of interest. Far more work than busy breaking news days.
Sometimes I'll come on here and it looks like QStorm National Enquirer but it is up to me to scroll past. Unless someone purposely clogs the board up with a page full in a row or something I don't think there should be rules for how many times you post.
Suggest to allow post limiting setting on per-sub basis. Ie. a mod can set that "users can only post up to X links per day"
this sounds a lot like : silence until i say you can speak...
NOTE: i stated it sounds
We will get right on that. Anything else?
Putting a limit ??... (not everybody).. Lakotapride is great so he should post as often as possible IMHO. .. Bring back the blocking button for this reason?? <<< Yes I know the buzz saw blabber mouth your most likely having a problem with. This angel has been wrong more that right, referring to "simon" for fake facts that never come up right. Good luck with this.
I don't mind the angel posting so much, if it's something that looks interesting to me, I'll click and read it, otherwise I skip over it. It's that giant text that really irritates me, but that's just me. Feelz like someone shouting/screaming as I read it ...
I essentially live on the New page, I have to because I post a lot and I need to verify that what I post has not already been posted. Prolific multi-posters can inadvertently slide hot items recently posted (say within ~2hrs) off the new page onto page 2. Those consuming the posts need to pay attention to the time period represented on the new page to determine if any recent posts have been pushed onto the next page so they can look there too and not miss important posts. Most here probably know that.
Go to Grinch's page if you want your hand held.THIS AINT YOUR WORLD Pussy!
