First off, hard shell corn tortillas vs soft wheat flour tortillas are not the same item. You can call them both tortillas just like a beer and a soda are both beverages, but it's not the same thing and not even used the same way.

Second, this whole store policy of not letting people buy a whole bunch of the same item was started because dumb asses were massively hoarding toilet paper, hand sanitizer, paper towels and other items because of some panic started online and when the hoarding started people like lemmings just went nuts and emptied the shelves.

When that stuff was gone they panicked more and started hoarding food just for it to go bad in their fridge.

So the stores started a general policy of limiting purchases of many items.

I had about $20.00 of food in my cart, enough for maybe three days if I stretch it out a bit and skip a meal or two which I usually do and I'm a single guy so it's not hard.

However, this bitch thinks she's the food Nazi or Food Czar. She's a huge fat woman who mostly likely pigs out all day and into the night which made her overbearing and senseless attitude even worse.

She even took both items off the line and placed behind her because I wouldn't choose which one to give up so I had to choose the hard corn tortillas as that was my plan for the day based on the other items I had in my cart. Choose or get neither. Meanwhile I'm still arguing with her about her attitude and she's shouting at me. Totally unreasonable and not listening to a word I say.

One of the assistant managers up in his high tower office on second floor can see it all on his monitors so he rushes down and nicely says, "Let's just get your food bagged up so you can get out of here." and I heartily agree as I'm about to lose my shit and really go off on this bitch.

So I get home and tell this to my friend and he relates that the day before one of the cashiers had been hoarding toilet paper and selling it from under the counter to "special" customers.

I went back in the next day with my receipt, showed the general manager and told him all including the hoarding of toilet paper and selling it under the counter to "friends". Of course I pointed to the fat bitch and claimed it was her also hoarding toilet paper. He said he'd talk to her, what ever that means. Maybe nothing?

Keep in mind this was before the Mask Nazis became a standard feature in stores.

When that started, I for a time had no trouble until this same self appointed ruler over all things started pestering me about wearing a mask. Since I already despise her based on earlier tortilla confrontation I went off on her instantly with her making curt snide remarks in a snarky tone back to me while I'm telling her to "read the guidelines you are trying to enforce. If you don't know what you are talking about then you need to keep quiet until you educate yourself" .... and so on and so forth until she is totally pissed off. I pay for my food and leave.

I've done this over and over and none of them wish to confront me now as the general manager is not backing them up anyway.

Damn that's... unfortunate. I understand stopping people from hoarding, but daym... 2 of any one item is too much?

Also, yeah i know that flour and corn tortillas are different, I had jjust never heard the policy that you were only allowed to buy one of something

Maybe only in California? Oh, but a dozen eggs is just one thing? Or a twelve pack of beer is one item? It's not a law anyway so she was just being a Nazi and the store is making this shit up all on their own. There's no law about masks but they arrest people all the time.

Maybe only in California?

Oh that explains a lot. I'm sorry you have to deal with all that bullshit there; I know people blame all Californians, but it's not your fault that you have a lefty fuck-head gob'ment.
