Actually all the counties in Texas that border Louisiana are part of the Eastern Interconnection, not the Texas Interconnection. Here's the map:

They are working both ends to the middle down Interstate 20. If they cant raise turbines they are building solar farms. Huge plots(100+ acres) of panels can be easily seen in travel
