I'm sure they can forgive me if I have a hard time trusting a platform that chose AWS for their servers in the first place. I don't normally comment on things like this but I'd be willing to bet Amazon still has all that user data.

You cannot safely build your company with system critical dependence upon other companies in your supply chain. You must develop contingency planning for worst case scenario's. It's an expensive lesson that many otherwise viable companies do not survive.

A huge part of staying in business is surviving your own mistakes. It is one of the hardest things to do, especially when many cannot be foreseen.

This particular mistake should have been foreseen. The writing was on the wall for anyone who was paying any attention at all.
