I've been in trucking for 29 years. Most trucking companies these days charge a fuel surcharge on everything they haul, either per mile or as a percentage, in addition to the line-haul rate. Any "tax" that the government imposes will simply cause prices of consumer goods to increase. Trucking companies will not go out of business because of increased fuel taxes, we all just get to pay more.
However, many companies that refuse to pay more to get their products hauled will find their products still sitting in warehouses and bins while truckers haul for those that will pay a fuel surcharge or increase their rates.
Patriot, Thank you for sharing this. and again we the people pay at the end of the day, just like climate scam where they tell everyone the companies will pay, while that is correct, the companies will pass it down to we the people to pay. That's the part that many people miss.
