Amazon may still carry quinine. I have some from Amazon. A friend uses it and other items for a great level or arthritis relief, in addition to prophylaxis.

I've read the Royal Navy gave every sailor a ration of Gin and Tonic and limes . Tonic for Malaria and lime for Scurvy and Gin for good spirits.

Modern tonic water contains very littke quinine. I think it used to be much more potent.

I only know Tonic is glows in florescent light and I drink it almost every day and I can't remember the last time I was sick. I believe the Quinine is why it glows. Each his own.
