All I can say is wow if this doesn't hit home folks!!!

C.S. Lewis a British writer wrote this nearly 70 years ago but could have been written today:

′′One young devil asked the old man: "How did you manage to bring so many souls to hell?" The old devil answered: "I instilled fear in them!" Answers the youngster: "Great job! And what were they afraid of? Wars? Hunger?" Answers the man: "No, they were afraid of the disease!" For this youngster: "Does this mean they didn't get sick? Are they not dead? There was no rescue for them?" The old man answered: "but no . . . they got sick, died, and the rescue was there." The young devil, surprised, answered: "Then I don't understand???" The old man answered: "You know they believed the only thing they have to keep at any cost is their lives. They stopped hugging, greeting each other. They've moved away from each other. They gave up all social contacts and everything that was human! Later they ran out of money, lost their jobs, but that was their choice because they were afraid for their lives, that's why they quit their jobs without even having bread. They believed blindly everything they heard and read in the papers. They gave up their freedoms, they didn't leave their own homes literally anywhere. They stopped visiting family and friends. The world turned into such a concentration camp, without forcing them into captivity. They accepted everything!!! Just to live at least one more miserable day . . . And so living, they died every day!!! And that's how it was very easy for me to take their miserable souls to hell..... ′′ C.S. Lewis - ′′ Old Devil's Letters To Young ′′ 1942.

Alright!! That rocks my world, anon, not in the sense that i had fear. Heaven's no, it would be cool w/ me to get off of this rock and Home Forever with the Rock.

But the prescience of this. THAT is the clincher.

The cure worse then the dis-ease. Hell. Yeah. (I had six weeks of it and got through it, with prayer.)

Already made my mind up, if i lose my job over taking the vax, heh, that will tell me that decades of serving in the medical field was enough. I give any credit for strength in this to God, anything good i praise Him.

For every one, why live in fear, which is dying, really. Kick it in the cabal and move on. Always forward. Especially believers, how can one be so afraid of what we all face. I would throw a party, a freedom party. Until then we serve Him and confound the enemy with our joy. [They] cant stand it!!

In gratitude for your astute post i put my fave C. S. Lewis quote here:

“God will invade. But I wonder whether people who ask God to interfere openly and directly in our world quite realise what it will be like when He does. When that happens, it is the end of the world. When the author walks on to the stage the play is over. God is going to invade, all right: but what is the good of saying you are on His side then, when you see the whole natural universe melting away like a dream and something else - something it never entered your head to conceive - comes crashing in; something so beautiful to some of us and so terrible to others that none of us will have any choice left? For this time it will God without disguise; something so overwhelming that it will strike either irresistible love or irresistible horror into every creature. It will be too late then to choose your side. There is no use saying you choose to lie down when it has become impossible to stand up. That will not be the time for choosing; it will be the time when we discover which side we really have chosen, whether we realised it before or not. Now, today, this moment, is our chance to choose the right side. God is holding back to give us that chance. It will not last for ever. We must take it or leave it.”

Apparently it's fake, but I like the message. I wish it didn't have to resort to quoting a well known author as if it was some kind of a prediction.

Its alao Badly written.

A Professional Author Would Have worded it better.

And obviously some expressions where notnused5in 1942.

Occam's Razor comes to mind, backed up by common sense. The Devil is in the Details. Fuck the Details!

Is this written by a crack addict?

This is spurious.

Not real.

Fake.

Gay.

C.S. Lewis did not write that. I've seen this before.

I remember The Screwtape Letters ...same book?

Also.... don't know about the quote at issue, but CS Lewis did make a prediction that Rock and Roll would someday degenerate to gutteral grunts, swearing and blatant sexual terminology, with drums, a beat, and little to no actual music. The dude predicted rap music, decades before the 80s.

Do not be deceived, Wormwood. Our cause is never more in danger than when a human, no longer desiring, but still intending, to do our Enemy’s will, looks round upon a universe from which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys.
