Closest I could find ... is it possible? Revelation 5:5, KJV: "And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof."

What's 5 by 5 mean in the military?

Comes from the old military manual for communications. When sending morse code, they would use short forms that always started with Q, called..... Q-Signals. The two key ones were QRK and QSA for What is my Readability and How good is my Signal. The answers were sent back on a scale of 1 bad to 5 very good. So when a Radio check is done and the answer comes bad 5 by 5 it is the same as saying signal is very strong, message is very readable.

" "5 by 5" or "5 square" means loud and clear."

Thanks for the in-depth breakdown! That sounds so much better than Gabriel blowing the first trumpet.

Spot on, this is the correct answer.

The answers were sent back on a scale of 1 bad to 5 very good. So when a Radio check is done and the answer comes bad 5 by 5 it is the same as saying signal is very strong, message is very readable.

Further, 5 by 1 means the signal is strong, but the message content is not understandable. 1 by 5 means the content is completely understandable, but the signal is very weak
