Biden could have flown home in a Cessna 152 and it would have the call sign of Air Force One. Plus, it's a 40 minute flight from DC TO DE, not worth busting out the the big bird.

You are referring to when Biden was flying to DC before the inauguration. He wasn't the fake president yet, so no AF1.
