I taught 42 years in a Parochial school, and every day began with the Pledge to the Flag followed by a short prayer.

Absolutely. I'd love to see a debate where a candidate was called on to do this - would be hilarious as hell.

Another of my fantasies is having a large map on stage and asking candidates to point out "X" country. I'd pay to see that fiasco.

Kevin DeLeon, L.A. City Council member was recently filmed not being able to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. I have no doubt there are many in positions of power who can’t recite it.
