So everyone knows, lights going out on a timer at 11:00pm is not normal. No it hasn't happened regularly in the past. It normally only happens when a president dies. There was an exception while Trump was in office during the DC riots they turned out the lights a few nights to deter the crowds. Just know, it's not normal no matter what the sheep tell you it is. I have personally been checking the livestream for like a month or so and have checked about 10 times at random nights during that period.. every single time I have checked the outside lights were off on the white house in some form after 11. I say in some form because I have noticed what I believe to be different levels of off.. as in mostly off and completely off. I have taken pictures videos of events at the white house from the live stream including pictures of when there were what appears to be an evacuation with emergency vehicles. all of this is subject to the accuracy of the actual livestream which could easily be fake just saying..

There are lights on the building, lights in the building. There are lights on the landscape and lights along the driveway. Lights in the front and the back and on the sides. It's not like only having one porch light switch for the whole property. /s The American Flag on the top is always lit up.

Just because lights are off doesn't mean security turns in for the night. They don't shut off the cameras or motion sensors or put the alligators in a cage and drain the moat /s.

My statement still stands. Lights out=increased security risk. The President is most important individual in the country. Every precaution must be taken. Unless he isn't there. Then fuck it. Turn the lights off

No it is not customary. I lived in DC and would drive visitors past there following late nights out at clubs/bars and it was always lit up and traffic was non-existent so we would drive very slowly and look for lights on in the upper floors. All of the monuments were also lit up.
