It's the natural evolution of things. This is where tech is headed, one way or another we will get there. For now,we get more and more automation, but I do think that actual A.I., the one that can think for itself no pre-programmed or scripted nonsense, will be something that will come along during our lifetime. What will happen after actual A.I. will exist, is anyone's guess. Will it be a utopia,a nightmarish dystopia,an apocalyptic terminator type of future,who knows,but each year we are getting closer to it. It's simply the end game,AI will out-think,outsmart,outmaneuver anyone. We as a species simply hit a dead end from a certain perspective, we can't go any further. Sure,we can augment ourselves,we can make ourselves better, but AI is our so called GOD,and we are desperate to create it, so it can think for us,it can solve all our problems. But that is still decades in the future, for now the best we can do is automation, while it has it's upsides, I think that giving key decision making in the military to nothing but an automaton is not really a good idea.
