to get into Twitter, I am now being required to type in my phone number and get a verification code and all sorts of other stuff to even see a post... f that.

Use another browser that you have never used to view Twitter in. That or delete your browsers cache (may or may not work, didn't try this)

I deleted my Twitter acct and removed the app from my phone so now I can click on a link that someone posts and I can see it with no problem.

good to know! the only reason I hadn't deleted my account was bc I thought I wouldn't be able to see people's links... following suit presently!
