He brings together strong voices for differing opinions, promotes their engagement, picks a direction, releases players not on board, then finalizes strategy with his insiders, who don’t leak.

Its ridiculous that this sham will continue. The only argument to be made by the defence is that a private citizen cannot be impeached for anything. In this attempted overeach by the Legislative branch, there is NO Constitutional Law by which the Senate can legally do this. The Turtle knows that impeachment is strictly for removal from office yet is going along with this uniparty skullduggery. The Constitution gives the US Senate the right to conduct a trial in ONLY ONE INSTANCE, under Article 2, Section 4 of the US Constitution, it states: “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

The plain language of the US Constitution allows the US Senate to conduct a trial of a sitting president, NOT a private individual, and gives it only ONE remedy, removal from office. It does not give the US Senate a constitutional right to try a PRIVATE individual who is no longer in office. A planned trial is unconstitutional and has NO legal basis or precedent. This illegal sham trial is based on admissions of the Senate majority leader, to prevent Donald Trump from running for office again. The Deep State is even afraid of Donald J. Trump as a private citizen which says a lot.
