Talked to a friend this morning who's wife is the manager of a local SuperCuts Hair salon.

Last Friday the 22nd the owner came in and let all the part timers go and told all the full time employees they were now part time employees. No one is now getting over 30 hours a week except his wife.

He did say his wife's salon did get hurt by the states Covid regulations but they were still turning some decent numbers. They use to have 13 employees including his wife. Forgot to ask how many they're down to now.

BTW he and his wife voted for Trump.

Your wife needs to grab her customers #'s, buy a salon chair, clear a space in your home and start her own side gig at home. Or she can go to her customers homes. Cash only.

I know that her salon has a "protected customer list" and she probably signed something saying she wouldn't "steal" it. But if you're creative, there are ways of doing it legally.

Retired guy here, live in a travel trailer and move around every couple of months. In one RV park recently a woman was cutting her husbands hair outside. By the time she was done there were 7-8 guys offering to pay her to cut their hair.

First off.. Nice to hear from a fellow full time RV'rs. And yes.. That type of business has many niches that can be filled and can grow rather quickly with little expense or effort. Word of mouth is the best advertising if you have a good reputation.

They are a National brand but they are probably franchise locations.

Its like McDonald's, they are a National brand but are majority ran by franchisees. They have to do certain things and meet certain requirements but for the most part determine their own policies and run independently. The brand gets their cut of "rent" right off the top line.

Don't know about the rest of you, but our gas prices have really jumped up since JoObama became "president". It's jumped over 40 cents a gal more. Sadly, this is what's going to hurt the poor far more than some. (Buttboy Buttigudge???) now wants to tax Americans on how many miles we drive.
