Paul’s motion went down to defeat by a score of 55-45 in the Democrat-controlled Senate but he successfully flushed out the treacherous five Republicans led by Mitt Romney who would join Dems to convict Trump.
Now Democrats and their Never Trump GOP collaborators are moving the goalposts by pushing for a censure instead of a Senate conviction that would have preempted a 2024 run by the iconoclastic billionaire businessman."
