“The mob who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 to try to stop Congress from carrying out its constitutional responsibilities were behaving like domestic enemies of our country,” Gabbard said. “But let’s be clear, the John Brennans, Adam Schiffs and the oligarchs in Big Tech who are trying to undermine our constitutionally protected rights and turn our country into a police state with KGB-style surveillance are also domestic enemies — and much more powerful, and therefore dangerous, than the mob that stormed the Capitol.”

Technically, everyone on both sides of the aisle should stand up for the civil liberties of their fellow citizens, even if they disagree with them on certain issues.

She’s either faking it, or she is sincere, but she does have a track record of sticking up for civil liberties. I mean we keep talking about how we have truth on our side why are we surprised that someone would see it? Why are we surprised that someone from the party of JFK will see what is blatantly obvious, that powerful people are trying to control our nation through illegal surveillance and intimidation tactics?

The question shouldn’t be whether or not she is sincere, the question should be why there aren’t way more people in both parties saying exactly what she is saying.

When we protect speech we protect all speech, popular or not, it is our duty as Americans to protect the speech of people we disagree with. I am pro life but I don’t want to silence the opinions of those who are pro-choice. That’s un-American.
