Just curious, did they ‘Ruffles and Flourishes’ at either or both? ‘Hail to the Chief’? Maybe that has something g to do,with cadence because I know for a fact the cannons are supposed to start with R&F. I’ll try to find some time tomorrow to review both looking for a clue as to why the longer intervals. I don’t think there’s much to it but on the other hand, everything is regimented and Protocol set in stone with these ceremonies.
Not that I noticed, but I am rather ignorant so I may have just overlooked it. Though I don't know much, I do know that this kind of ceremony has a rigid protocol, and I'm inclined to think that there has to be some significance there. Even Obama's salute matched Trump's
