I looked for videos but of course can only find the last few Presidents, I will say Reagan had three Guns at his funeral. So, I reached out to the Guns Platoon public Liason re: # of Guns and sequence timing of volleys. I’ll report back once I receive word and if I’m wrong, I’ll gladly say so. My friends in TOG but not Guns Platoon indicate nothing out of the ordinary was ordered, expected or happened. Still, I’m confirming with them directly.

Biden got a funeral salute the same as Nixon ,Bush and Regan funerals. They actually made sure on Biden there was over 10 second delay between shots. Totally different from Trumps salute which shots came one after another. It was not an honor but a warning. I may be wrong but I listen to them all.

I think it’s a 3-gun bs. 4-gun thing but really am not certain. Also not certain I’ll get the answer from them but will relay what I receive.

I just received email back for the Guns Platoon PR people and they’ve instructed me to call Joint Task Force - National Capitol Region at 202-685-4645. Will advise...... Specifically, I asked about: why the 3-4 gun differences and he significance (if any) of the cadence between volleys.

I watched Trump's 21 gun salute video, about 4 second delay between volleys and fairly energetic. Biden's was much slower, 8-9 seconds between volleys, and much more lethargic in appearance. I can't find the footage of the entire Biden salute either, every outlet has the same video showing the same number of volleys, 9 in total I believe.

Just curious, did they ‘Ruffles and Flourishes’ at either or both? ‘Hail to the Chief’? Maybe that has something g to do,with cadence because I know for a fact the cannons are supposed to start with R&F. I’ll try to find some time tomorrow to review both looking for a clue as to why the longer intervals. I don’t think there’s much to it but on the other hand, everything is regimented and Protocol set in stone with these ceremonies.

Not that I noticed, but I am rather ignorant so I may have just overlooked it. Though I don't know much, I do know that this kind of ceremony has a rigid protocol, and I'm inclined to think that there has to be some significance there. Even Obama's salute matched Trump's
