Before the show not many knew much of Trump outside of a goofy media and real estate guy that had casinos and hotels etc..

After he became a tough no nonsense leader with his own 17 phrase doll. I only remember 'youre fired'

I can recall, many years ago, being trapped in a former-friends living room when he just had to watch The Apprentice.

I can recall, the night after the 2016 election, that same former friend, who'd never expressed a political opinion in all the years I knew him, go full-blown retard about how much he hates Trump. I ghosted him on the spot and refuse to ever associate with TV-watchers (meaning virtually everyone) ever again.

I downloaded all the seasons and started watching it in the summer to get some insight. In intros in the early episodes, they showed some cash that had the phrase "lawful money" on it. It was a Federal Reserve Note that was redeemable in lawful money at the United States Treasury. Here, found it https://pic8.co/sh/OYXEQp.png There was an episode where the winning team got to have lunch with Mr. Trump's good friend Mr. Schumer. There was an episode where a contestant's grandmother passed away, and Mr. Trump offered the young man his helicopter so he could make it to the funeral and back to the competition.

You got farther than I did. I bought the series on DVD and didn't make it past the first few shows. I forgot I even had it until now. I'll have to dig it out and commit to watching it. LOL

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Apprentice_(American_TV_series) After Trump began to publicly question whether President Barack Obama was born in the United States,[32] The Apprentice was criticized for its involvement with Trump. Some people publicly called for NBC to fire Trump from his role on The Apprentice, including former US congressman Anthony Weiner.[citation needed] Industry media speculated about the extent to which Trump's media comments may have contributed to the show's ratings decline,[33][34] given how other Trump-associated businesses have suffered since Trump's political campaign began.[35] One (anonymous) Celebrity Apprentice contestant even announced an intention to boycott the May 15 taping of the season seven finale, unless forced by contract to appear.[36]

So, Trump got forced out of a 13 or so year TV show due to his comments about Obama. Joan Rivers, winner of one of the years, called Michelle Obama a tranny and died under sedation in a doctor's office.

Now I understand the poor celebrities when the media takes their words out of context

Now who can be a big boy and tell me what I actually wrote?

Cmon...

[–] 1 pt

That’s a direct quote, big boy.

That’s right, you actually wrote those words. Without equivocation.

Your opening premise immediately discounts the entirety of the drivel that follows.

C’mon, big boy.

Well that maybe the truth for those that lack in context skills. I wrote those words within a sentence expressing the idea in full

Im not here for an english language usage debate so youll have to talk to yourself on that one

Once you mentally graduate middle school you may be able to grasp these ideas but doubtful

For a stretch it was the #1 show on TV. I enjoyed watching it and felt DJT re-shaped his public image via this show. While the catch-phrase "you're fired" became the identity of Trump and the show, being fired was inevitable and part of the game. DJT demonstrated his intelligence and fairness, and in many ways mentorship. But - in the end it was TV, so they had to make it into a show.

Overall - I learned to like Trump more through the show, and it made me realize he was much more than his reputation.

Thanks for proving me point

Yep - I always believed it had to be a lead up his eventual run for office.

I think Trump in Media was just him basically a real live training course

I grew up in the 70's and Trump was very popular, always talked about and on TV. HE was a demoncrat back then, go figure

I think it was to bring attention to him as a leader and show us his ability to deal with people.

Dude, he was in Home Alone II. Maybe thats an allegory for child trafficking. He was showing the lost kid the way out?
