The problem with what you're saying is that it reflects the idea that everything that happens is predetermined, and that means we really have no free will at all. That sort of thinking offers an excuse to murder anyone you don't like, claiming that God ordained it. And since it happened, you believe it was meant to be that way. On the other hand, I would be excused for doing damage to you, and you would just have to accept it, based on your belief. That sort of belief leads people into slavery very quickly. It's a submissive attitude that lets you be lazy and wait for someone/something to happen to save you from your problems, rather than to deal with them yourself, claimg your right to independent free will.
The best defense for me lately is not listen to any of that crap.
That's not the way to understanding. You were put here to experience and learn. You can't learn by ignoring things, particularly ideas. The greatest thing that God created that we know of is the human mind, which is where ideas come from, and ideas lead us to broader understandings of this reality we all share. You shouldn't forsake that.
