I’m not military so I don’t know if that’s standard practice or something they would never do during active duty.

Couldn’t imagine sleeping 5 hrs a night to waltz somewhere the next day for a picture.

I would think we would see the actual photos surface at some point too then. Who knows.

It's not common but it's not unusual for the Battalion/Company/Platoon CO to decide he wants a group pic. What do you do? What you're told to do until your contract is up, that's what.
