I prefer to live under a republic where we have rule of law. However, in reality, the law does not matter. It only matters what people are willing to do, and what people are willing to do is a combination of what they believe and their biology (what their physical condition is). In order to enforce an edict, you have to have enough soldiers that believe that it is a valid order, and that the order is justified.
As it stands, 80-90% of the military voted for Trump. Can they convince the military to actually act against Trump supporters?
