First - given only the evidence that we currently KNOW **, who are the Senators on our side?

I'll start with my two - North Carolina. I actually think that Thom Tillis, although he's an asshole, will NOT vote to convict.

Richard Burr is a toss-up. IMO, he'd probably lean towards conviction. I believe he is as Deep State as they come.

To through in another state - Sen. Manchin (D-WV) "could" be a good guy - for us. You never know how he'll vote.

Who is in your ring?

I can't believe that they will still try to impeach Donald J. Trump as a private citizen. You can only impeach a sitting President, or a sitting Judge, Congressman or Senator NOT A PRIVATE CITIZEN.

Dershowitz and Dr. Orly Taitz Esq said the same thing, you can't impeach someone that no longer works in government. This is just an attempt to prevent Trump from running again for President.

The Constitution gives the US Senate the right to conduct a trial in ONLY ONE INSTANCE, under Article 2, Section 4 of the US Constitution, it states: “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

The plain language of the US constitution allows the US Senate to conduct a trial of a sitting president, not a private individual, and gives it only ONE remedy, removal from office. It does not give the US Senate a constitutional right to try a PRIVATE individual who is no longer in office. A planned trial is unconstitutional and has no legal basis or precedent. This illegal planned trial is based on admissions of the Senate majority leader, to prevent Donald Trump from running for office again. The Deep State is very afraid of Donald J. Trump even as a private citizen.

This is from the first Impeach in Jan I'll be surprised if they pursue a second

Would consider Pat Toomey (Pennsylvania) Ben Sasse (Nebraska) Mitt Romney (Utah)

Oppose Marco Rubio (Florida) Rand Paul (Kentucky) Cindy Hyde-Smith (Mississippi) Roger Wicker (Mississippi) Roy Blunt (Missouri) Steve Daines (Montana) Kevin Cramer (North Dakota) Tim Scott (South Carolina) Ted Cruz (Texas) Lindsey Graham (South Carolina)

Responded but declined to say what vote would be Mike Crapo (Idaho) Susan Collins (Maine) Joni Ernst (Iowa) Todd Young (Indiana) Rick Scott (Florida) Jim Risch (Idaho) John Cornyn (Texas) Cynthia Lummis (Wyoming) Did not respond to CBS News' request for comment Richard Shelby (Alabama) Tommy Tuberville (Alabama) Daniel Sullivan (Alaska) Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) John Boozman (Arkansas) Tom Cotton (Arkansas) Kelly Loeffler (Georgia) Mike Braun (Indiana) Chuck Grassley (Iowa) Roger Marshall (Kansas) Jerry Moran (Kansas) Mitch McConnell (Kentucky) Bill Cassidy (Louisiana) John Kennedy (Louisiana) Josh Hawley (Missouri) Deb Fischer (Nebraska) Richard Burr (North Carolina) Thom Tillis (North Carolina) John Hoeven (North Dakota) Rob Portman (Ohio) Jim Inhofe (Oklahoma) James Lankford (Oklahoma) Mike Rounds (South Dakota) John Thune (South Dakota) Bill Hagerty (Tennessee) Marsha Blackburn (Tennessee) Mike Lee (Utah) Shelley Moore Capito (West Virginia) Ron Johnson (Wisconsin) John Barrasso (Wyoming)

That seems like a high number to me. Cruz, Hawley, tuberville(?).

It is an illegal act by an illegal assembly. Do not play their game anymore.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-impeachment-republicans-senators/

Ten senators have told CBS News they don't support impeachment: Marco Rubio of Florida, Rand Paul of Kentucky, Cindy Hyde-Smith and Roger Wicker of Mississippi, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Steve Daines of Montana, Kevin Cramer of North Dakota, Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Ted Cruz of Texas.

Damn shame

Ron Johnson (WI) would probably vote against - so would Josh Hawley (MO)

I’d say Hawley and Cruz and that’s all that I’d bet on right now.
