This has been debunked. The striped wallpaper was put in by Barack Obama. When Trump took office, he was able to change it to a more subtle paper, but it was several weeks before that occurred. That's why you see the striped wallpaper in the photos from the first days of Trump in office. Notice that Reince Priebus is in the photo with Trump, which proves this was early in the Trump admin.
