For those people who want to not get into politics, it is common for deployed troops to stay outside. They often have tents or other temporary shelters. For more permanent deployments, they will use convenient structures that are already on-site. Obviously Uncle Sam doesn't want to get them 20,000 hotel rooms, but I would expect that they will bring in modular shelters (trailers or boxes) if the deployment continues. They have all the equipment they need, warm sleeping bags and cots and generators and porta-potties and showers. Anyone who has been deployed knows that the armed forces brings all that equipment with them, and they don't need any outside support. These people are used to sleeping on the ground if cots are not available, and sleeping outside is totally not a problem. They are in the National Guard FFS! This is a ridiculous non-story.
