In going through this document, it's clear:

  • FBI & Special Counsel conducted several extensive interviews with Flynn over a period of days -- all under the guise of the idea that "Flynn had discussed sanctions with Russia" on a call at the end of December 2016
  • The FBI had the call transcripts and we now know Flynn NEVER discussed sanctions
  • Flynn was put through the wringer by the FBI/SC -- they asked him all kinds of questions including about the activities of the Trump team during the election. If the issue was Russia sanctions, why do this?
  • Flynn naively obliged the questioning by the FBI/SC (it's gut wrenching to read this stuff -- can you imagine being setup like this when you've done nothing wrong?)
  • The press articles (we know McCabe leaked to the press about Flynn) were key to putting pressure on POTUS and his team. This caused people w/in Trump's team to pick sides and finger point.

The bottomline here is that it's clear from reading the FBI notes that not only was the FBI trying to remove Flynn from the Trump team, they were trying the divide the Trump team at the start of the administration. And it worked.

Yes. We’re going to hear a lot of things over the next few days that we already knew and were demanding action on nearly 4 years ago and were given excuse after excuse after excuse for why action was never taken. Now that it’s becoming rather clear that nothing is going to happen, my doubt is turning into anger. And not at the Democrats.

I was just looking this up and found article after article day after day about how the President was tied to Russia, had leaks in his new cabinet, etc. etc. I had forgotten how much and how fast they acted to disprove President Trump, to the American people.
