Is it pointed at DC?

[–] 2 pts

That was my first question too.

[–] 1 pt

You can not launch a missile from one. I used to work on them.

I've got a Minuteman Erector right here.... In all seriousness, thanks for the Sauce.

[–] 1 pt

Look, fellas... Even the POSSIBILITY of using a weapon system like this is not something to be taken lightly. We've ALL heard rumors that something serious is brewing between the U.S. and China, no?

I won't speculate as to the plausibility of real nuclear war, but I'm not prepared to even joke about it if they are really moving these fuckers around.

I commented earlier about actually LIVING the Cold War, and it's the very DEFINITION of "You Had To Be There".

I don't know the significance of this one emplacement, but if we see more of this, then I'll be the first pussy to weak-titty out, and admit how much it fucking terrifies me...

They could also be fitted with EMP warhead (not sure of the exact term for it)

[–] 0 pt

A 130 kiloton warhead is not to be underestimated. It produces an EMP on it's own.

[–] 0 pt

True but if it is detonated up in the ionosphere it is expotentially magnified. 300 miles up would cover pretty much the entire US

''Mr. President, we are rapidly approaching a moment of truth both for ourselves as human beings and for the life of our nation. Now, truth is not always a pleasant thing. But it is necessary now to make a choice, to choose between two admittedly regrettable, but nevertheless distinguishable, postwar environments: one where you got twenty million people killed, and the other where you got a hundred and fifty million people killed.''

President Merkin Muffley: You're talking about mass murder, General, not war!

General "Buck" Turgidson: Mr. President, I'm not saying we wouldn't get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks.

Launch on Warning and I mean Launch them all on warning..we dont want to be the ones to start anything but if it starts then make sure its finished properly every single shot but one..then reload and get ready to fire again. Perhaps you havent seen the NO FEAR stickers on our cars We don't care for your life just like you dont care for ours..so to quote Lou Grossman in Tropic Thunder..Go to town...Not afraid of a Nuke at all the only thing I care about is to make sure it gets the rest of them ALL OF THEM as well Light that puppy up.

I've seen those movies too.

I don't know how to break it to you, dude, but ummm, those films aren't documentaries...

You DO realize "Star Wars" isn't real, don'tcha???

Because if not, you just graduated to "My Favorite Person To Fuck With!!!".

I wish you luck!

I have been trained in Nuclear Chemical & Biological Warfare by the military, I have read and enjoyed WAR DAY by James Kunetca & Whitley Streiber. I don't know how to break it to you dude but Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Elon Musk, and 1000 other millionaire Billionaires and the whole political class don't give a shit about anybody but themselves. They are not going to let this pretty little nest that they have feathered for themselves get destroyed on a whim or a lark. The same way they feel about us the rank and file is precisely how I feel about them all. It's not personal it is systemic. Since the likelihood of meaningful systemic change occurring in a timeframe that will positively affect the statistical majority of people in my lifetime, it is my contention that if the balloon goes up that it goes up all the way no limited strike but a massive global co-ordinated strike predicated on the removal of the maximum people and the destruction of as much of the planetary ecosystem as possible. Yes yes I do.

By the shadows on the trees, I would guess / hope / pray it is pointing towards trudeau's cottage.

Scare event necessary.

I wonder when air traffic will be grounded for military only

[–] 0 pt

I’m going to say it’s actually at the Bluegrass Army depot in Richmond, Kentucky. It has a railway AND America’s stockpile of chemical and biological weapons. I live about 25 minutes from the north gate.

That does not look like a missile cell/can launcher, nor an antenna. Just do a search of Patriot missile, or mobile missiles, and look up military mobile/mounted comms systems. to me it looks like a baggage loader or boarding stairs for large passenger planes.

Its a Minuteman Missile TEL according to Global Security's web page

A unique vehicle, the Boeing Transporter/Erector Loader (TEL) semitrailer was used to transport the Minuteman I missile and emplace/remove it at the launch facility. The container was sixty-five feet long, ten feet wide, thirteen feet tall, and contained 8,030 cubic feet of interior space. It weighed 24,700 pounds when empty and cost just under $700,000. It was environmentally controlled by the tractor when on the road and by the onboard air conditioner when stored. Power to operate the trailer when emplacing/removing the missile also came from the tractor. The Transporter/Erector Semitrailer was pulled by a specially-designed 1963 GMC tractor. The container could also be used (without the tractor) to transport the missile by rail.

With a very unique "cab-under" design, one version of the transporter erector was brought into service in the early 1960s to emplace and remove the original Minuteman I missiles assigned to Warren. Beginning in 1973, the transporter erector underwent minor modifications to transition to the newer Minuteman III missile being deployed here.

Commonly known as the "old TE," its container is 65 feet long, 10 feet wide, 13 feet tall, and has around 8,030 cubic feet of interior space available to work with. It weighs approximately 24,700 pounds when empty and around 107,150 pounds loaded and originally cost just under $700,000. In late 1989, the old transporter erector was retired as the new and improved one came onboard to not only take its place but to continue the lasting legacy set by the original.

Paragraph 5 of Article IV of START I limited the number of transporter-loaders for ICBMs for road-mobile launchers of ICBMs. Restricting transporter-loaders constrains a Party's ability to reload mobile launchers rapidly after they have been fired. For road-mobile ICBMs with a single warhead, the Treaty allows two transporter-loaders per type per deployment area or test range, and a total of six transporter loaders in other areas, provided that the total does not exceed thirty. Note that paragraph 7 of Article V of the Treaty bans transporter-loaders for road-mobile launchers of ICBMs with multiple warheads and for rail-mobile launchers of ICBMs.

On June 4, 2013 DRS Technologies, Inc., a Finmeccanica Company, announced that it received a $25 million contract from the US Air Force for the design, development and delivery of two Transporter Erector Replacement Program [ERP] Vehicles to support the Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Minuteman III fleet. If all options are exercised by the Air Force, the total program value for up to 26 mobile vehicles under this contract could reach over $92 million.

The Transporter Erector is a vehicle used for transporting, positioning and removing the Minuteman III booster at launch facilities at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming; Malmstrom AFB, Montana; Minot AFB, North Dakota; Hill AFB, Utah; and Vandenberg AFB, California. The current Transporter Erector used by the Air Force was fielded in 1988. The Air Force Global Strike Command, overseeing this replacement, requires a modern and forward-looking system that will sustain booster handling operations through 2030.

Under the Air Force Transporter Erector Replacement Program, DRS Environmental Systems in Cincinnati, Ohio, will redesign and build new transport vehicles that will fully modernize the operational system. The design and development of the first two Transporter Erectors to be used in system qualification are due to be completed in November 2015. If all production options are exercised, 26 Transporter Erectors will be delivered to the Air Force through September 2019.

“DRS will draw upon its 40 years of experience with system engineering, design, and production of mission-critical mobile shelters and transport trailers for the military,” said Roger Sexauer, president of DRS Power and Environmental Systems. “The Environmental Systems Team has been supporting the Air Force ICBM program office for over 20 years and is committed to providing continued support to a critical part of the our Nation’s strategic deterrent forces,” according to Sexauer.

Holy shit, THANK YOU. Nice work! I'll definitely be bookmarking . I knew the TEL didn't look right as some kind of antenna, and I sure didn't recognize it as a launch platform. Is this particular one just a static display? Why would it be anywhere visible/photographable in that configuration?

They are warning somebody if you want to go to town we won't fuck around. I wonder who has the clout to order this movement

[–] 1 pt

So then they are putting one in a silo or they are taking one out. Either way still not good during this time in our country. You know what I’m saying Vern?

[–] 0 pt

If my reading is correct under the treaty they are allowed to have some ROAD / RAIL launch systems but with limited warhead counts. So somewhere else in the USA are more of these. Security in Obscurity moved to a location unlikely to be first strike designated. By the time a Satellite Pass or Human Int confirms the co-ordinates it will be too late to launch on it because its missiles will likely be on the way before you get the info you need to target the area effectively. I doubt that will be there longer than 24 hours. Another One will Pop up somewhere and this one will be moved somewhere else. I am glad to see it because China Russia Iran North Korea need to know they have no chance of getting away with a strike at all our known asset locations without getting their asses kicked by the ones they don't

Great info, really interesting! Many thanks to someone who knows his stuff.

Thanks to Google everyone is an armchair expert now.

Especially with all the submarines we have in the water, what difference would this thing make?
