He should pardon him right before his term is done. According to the law Trump can’t be impeached if he is no longer president.

There hasn't been a conviction of impeachment on any official not currently holding office because the law only refers to someone who's currently in office. Congress, or really any aspect of the Fed, should NEVER be able to "impeach" a private citizen.
