A puppy mill is essentially a very cruel, inhumane, and high-volume dog breeding facility. A puppy mill breeds puppies for profit and will ignore the needs of both the puppies and their mothers. Many of the puppies and their mothers live in deplorable conditions. The puppies may have serious health and behavioural problems as they are so in-bred. Tragically, many of the mothers used for breeding never see the outside of a cage- they are forced to have one litter after another. A puppy mill is a farm where people breed dogs, starve them, stuff them in cages, and either sell them or kill them in horrible ways (Baked alive, beaten to death, hung, etc.) And then they eat the dogs.
