Here is just one of the "strange" comment threads on the "Bored Panda" Dog Article I referenced earlier

Mennonite are the usual puppy mill owners. Amish broke away from them and one of the reasons was the Mennonite’s attitude towards animals.**

A puppy mill is essentially a very cruel, inhumane, and high-volume dog breeding facility. A puppy mill breeds puppies for profit and will ignore the needs of both the puppies and their mothers. Many of the puppies and their mothers live in deplorable conditions. The puppies may have serious health and behavioural problems as they are so in-bred. Tragically, many of the mothers used for breeding never see the outside of a cage- they are forced to have one litter after another. Puppy mills (also called puppy farms in some countries) are illegal in many countries, but puppy mill owners still sell puppies online and even through pet stores.

A puppy mill is a farm where people breed dogs, starve them, stuff them in cages, and either sell them or kill them in horrible ways (Baked alive, beaten to death, hung, etc.) And then they eat the dogs. I don't even know how people are fine with these places in the world.

I absolutely despise people who get their pets from these factories (not those rescuing the poor animals). Supporting such places is as despicable as running them

Poor thing. Some people need to be stuffed in filthy cages themselves to get a taste of their own cruelty. So glad the dogs were rescued.**

And thousands of peole keep buying puppies from those places. They don't care as long as the pup is cute. In my country it's at least forbidden to sel cats and dogs in pet shops!

That's so sad! One of my Aunt's dogs was from a puppy mill. Her leg got caught in the cage and they cut it off. My aunts are very big animal people.
