I don’t know if this means that the US can’t talk to them in a diplomatic way - Or if the embassies are not able to make calls out.....although given the coup going on, I think it is the later. Cutting communications is usually a first step in a coup d'etat.

Vice President Pence is considering resigning today. (Considering he is technically out of office tomorrow at noon......what's the point?)
