I called it a honeypot while still on VOAT, and someone told me I didn't know what that means. But I believe Parler was set up to mine data on people who self-identify as conservative, right-wing patriots, as you said. They set it up to attract a certain subset of people, and those people did flock to Parler in an attempt to get away from Twitter, FB, etc. Now their data has been breached, mined and publicized. The FBI is analyzing those files right now. Sounds like a honeypot to me.
