Literature has always been a refuge with the exception of William S Burroghs novels which always make me feel dirty reading them ( to this day the Naked Lunch and a collection of his other works is the only book that I have ever put down and refused to read any further..the utter filth and depravity he was conveying left me completely unwilling an unable to continue..its been 20 year or more and I still have zero regrets of never having finished that book with his work. Its quite something.
