I pointed out to my former colleague that: The US can put about 1 million combat troops from all branches and reserves in the field, with about another million needed for logistical support operation, command, etc.. At 30,000 or more per city, they could only hold about 33 major cities, nationwide, if the population grows restless. There are over 300 incorporated places in the United States that have a population that exceeds 100,000 out of a total of 19,495 incorporated cities, towns and villages in the United States. I went on to tell my former colleague that what the Democrats are doing is a laughable joke. I told him it is just a photo op and a prayer that it never becomes the "real" deal, because they would not stand a chance in hell, even assuming the desertion rate would be less than 1%, in a Civil War.
