Amen
Amen, brother. Many have been deceived by the father of lies and it is our duty, as the elect in Christ, to lead them onto the path of righteousness. Shine your light on their awakening, show them the Truth that is His Word and, if you must, carry them to their Redemption.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen
NUMBER 1:
Constantinopole canonized the Bible down to 66 books.
You're reading half-truths and in some cases flat out lies.
DNA will lead you, relax, stop thinking so much.
Voddie Baucham did a great job expounding on what Adrian Rogers (old school teacher) said about why we choose to believe the bible. The footwork has been done by those lead by the Holy Spirit to see that the bible is complete. Inerrant. Also, if parts of scripture were missing, and we only had half truths, then that would make God out to be a liar, and He is not.
If Scripture is “God-breathed,” then it is not man-breathed, and, although it was penned by men, those “men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit” (2 Peter 1:21). No man-made writing is sufficient to equip us for every good work; only the Word of God can do that. Furthermore, if the Scriptures are sufficient to thoroughly equip us, then nothing more is needed.
So, if we were reading half-truths, God's Word would immediately be in error, and we wouldn't have all He has intended us to know right in front of us. We would have to search, sift, and hope we didn't pick up a tablet that was written by some young Pharisee that just wanted to stir up trouble and cause division.
God's Word is alive. It is divinely inspired.
“The Bible is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in the fulfillment of specific prophecies and claimed that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.”
-Voddie Baucham
Paul warned the church at Colosse: “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ” (Colossians 2:8).
Jude says it even more specifically when he writes, “Although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints” (Jude 1:3). Notice the phrase “once and for all.” This makes it clear that no other writings, no matter how godly the pastor, theologian, or denominational church they may come from, are to be seen as equal to or completing the Word of God. The Bible is all that is necessary for the believer to understand the character of God, the nature of man, and the doctrines of sin, heaven, hell, and salvation through Jesus Christ. Paul’s words to the Galatians indicate the seriousness of delivering a message outside the Bible: “If we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galatians 1:8).
These aren't "learned" principles. These are truths from God's Word. Be careful. This is out of love and concern for the salvation of those God has called to be saved.
Think more.
Really it all boils down to DNA...When you can hear me clearly you'll understand.
All you had to do in this life was follow the commandments which are common sense.
those that did not are deleted and those that are accepted get the choice of everlasting consciousness or deletion.
very simple. it was mankind that made it hard.
You could have made this shorter.
LOL, Perhaps short hand? Nevertheless, it's a good read.
I did.. Could truthfully be a lot longer. I didn't even touch on the heart, and how deceitful it is above all else. I didn't even touch on the transformation and renewing of the mind that begins happening the moment a man is saved by the grace of God. Too many people want instant gratification. People would rather do the footwork to say, "AH-HA! We've caught them in a lie!" than to open their bible's and proclaim the truth. God's Word convicts, corrects, judges, and completely penetrates through the heart. Even into the bone and marrow. The Word in and of itself exposes the evil that's being done and has been done in this world. Q is right. There is no stopping what's to come.
Could have made it longer also.
